Every senior player in the Golden State Warriors‘ locker room had an axe to grind with Jordan Poole before he was shipped off to the Washington Wizards, according to new claims.

Poole spent four years in California before being traded to the Wizards, with Chris Paul moving to the Bay.

The guard’s simmering tensions with his team-mates boiled over during 2022 training camp, when Draymond Green punched Poole during an altercation.

But it is now claimed that frustrations with Poole had spread throughout the Warriors’ established players.

According to The Ringer’s Logan Murdock, even the likes of shooting guard Klay Thompson had grievances with the 24-year-old.

‘All the established guys had some version of a problem with Jordan Poole, whether it was Klay ironically saying that Jordan doesn’t pass the ball enough and shoots too much,’ Murdock told The Bill Simmons Podcast.

‘And then you have Draymond (Green), who sees Jordan as this guy and is like: “Yeah, I did punch him…”

‘I did do all these things, but now I don’t have a voice within the locker room because of what happened.’

According to reports at the time, tensions had been bubbling between the pair before they clashed during practice.

Poole was then traded only a week before Green inked a four-year, $100 million contract to return to the Warriors.

Nevertheless, the decision by new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., to send 2019 draft pick Poole away still caused some raised eyebrows.
