Maxsports: Eberechi Eze wants move away from Crystal Palace amid Liverpool links
Liverpool and Tottenham are both chasing Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze.
The England international has attracted the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the country with his fine performances for the Eagles.
The midfielder contributed to Palace’s impressive season in 2023-24 by adding eleven goals and registering four assists.
According to Football Insider, Eze would have to push for a move away from Selhurst Park next year.
Premier League clubs Liverpool and Tottenham are keen on signing the player in the future.
Despite their links with the 26-year-old, none of the clubs made a move for him in the recently closed summer transfer window.
The English midfielder had a £68million release clause in his contract this summer which has now expired.
However, that clause is expected to reactivate again in the future, giving clubs the opportunity to sign him for the same price.
If the player decides to push for a move away from the club, it would put Oliver Glasner’s side in a weak position and they may have to surrender and accept a lower price for the player.
Eze has seen his former teammate Michael Olise leave the club this summer and join Bayern Munich, where he has started the new season in fantastic form.
Eberechi Eze can shine in an attacking Liverpool team
The Crystal Palace midfielder is a versatile player who can play out wide or in the central attacking position behind the striker.
His main attributes are finding spaces in difficult situations and picking out a pass as well as getting past his opponents with ease because of his dribbling skills.
He would be a fine addition for any Premier League club and at the reported price of £68million, clubs would be happily willing to pay that to secure his services.
Eze has three more years remaining on his current deal at Selhurst Park which puts the South London club in a strong position.
