Chicago Bulls sign Ayo Dosunmu to a new contract.

Restricted free agent, Ayo Dosunmu, has agreed to a three-year deal worth $21 million to return to the Chicago Bulls according to ESPN.

Dosunmu who was a second-round 38th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft was the Bulls starting point guard last season. He started a total of 51 games for the team during the regular season and averaged 8.6 points per game.

The 23-year-old according to Second Spectrum and ESPN Stats and Information held opponents to 44% shooting as the closest defender, ranking in the top 10 among players to defend at least 700 shots.

Dosunmu had also been a target for the Toronto Raptors who had lost Fred VanVleet to the Houston Rockets. The new fee will see the Chicago native of Nigerian descent receive $7 million yearly.
